He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Merema and Grace A. Merema (Smith); his brother Bert; and his siblings-in-law, Marian Merema and Harold Renkes.
He is survived by: his sister Ramona Renkes of Fulton, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Viola Pray (Ralph), Robert Merema (Leslie), Stanley Merema (Kathy), Roger Merema (Terri), Judy Vanderploeg (Ken), Ken Renkes (Michelle) and Priscilla Ritzema (Jake).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Fulton Food Pantry.
