With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris J. Giesler of Windsor, Illinois, born in Shelbyville, Illinois, who passed away on August 22, 2020 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry "Bill" and Mildred Grove Slifer; and her sister Dottie Edgar. She is survived by: her husband Paul Leroy Giesler; her daughter Megan Wooters (Chad) of Blue Mound, IL; her niece Noreen Bowman (Jerry) of Clarksville, TN; her great-nephew Kelly Thomas (Ellie); her siblings, David Slifer (Julie) of Effingham, IL, Donna Cox (Harold) of Mattoon, IL and Debbie Clawson of Effingham, IL.; and also, Millie of Davenport, IA, Charlie of Davenport, IA and Corbin Thomas of Davenport, IA.

Memorials may be given to Walther Theological Seminary, Decatur, IL and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL 62565.
