He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant W. Lawson and Adeline Lawson (Bergfeld); his son-in-law Steve Campbell; and his siblings, Grant Lawson, Thomas Lawson, John Lawson, James Lawson, Katherine Grigg and Jean Grobelny.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Lawson of Windsor, Illinois; his children, James Lawson (Susan) of Overland Park, Leah Jenkins (John) of Charleston and Lora Cline (Joe) of Neoga, Illinois; his grandchildren, Michelle Butler, Justin Danay (Clarissa), Brittany Campbell, Levi Lund (Caitlynn), Jennifer Danay, Kayla Rollings (Harry), Jesse Jenkins, Sheila Cline (Austin) and Ryley Cline; his great grandchildren, Arian, Lucy, Reagan, Swayzee, Gianna and Hunter; and his friends, Ron Russell and Karl Wente.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home, Inc. (520 Oak Ave, Neoga, IL 62447). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
