He was predeceased by: his parents, James Neff and Thelma McKinney Neff; his siblings, Jimmy, Lloyd Neff and Louise Brown; and his son-in-law Monte Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Berniece Ellerman of Winchester; his children, Beverly Smith of Jacksonville and Bob Neff (Melissa) of Winchester; his grandchildren, Megan Little of Winchester, Chelsea Suttles (Derek) of Jacksonville, Jimmy (Raquel Romero) of Winchester, Joey Neff of Winchester and Jenna Cook; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Chance, Ali Little of Winchester, Paxton and Croy Suttles of Jacksonville; and his siblings, Delores Brown of Decatur and Vernon Neff of Winchester.

Due to Covid-19, a private family funeral service will be held.
