It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mick Rothering (Winchester, Illinois), who passed away on November 30, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kay Rothering (King); and his parents, Norbert Rothering and Violet Rothering. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Rothering of Winchester, Becky Piechowski (Brian) of Winchester, Scott Rothering of Taylorville and Anthony Rothering (Janice) of Auburn; his brother Lonnie Rothering; his grandchildren, Hannah Neusch, Kayla Little (Brock), Matthew Piechowski, Sebastian "Seb" Rothering, Jonathon Piechowski, Sara Thomson (Zane), Emma Rothering, Zach Rothering and Maggie Rothering; his great grandchildren, Myah Little, Finley Neusch and Fletcher Neusch; his siblings, Duane, Gloria (Loesel) and Shirly (Becker); and his grandson Samuel Piechowski.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Coonrod Funeral Home (107 E Cross St, Winchester, IL 62694). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winchester American Legion or to the Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) Foundation (Kay Rothering Memorial Scholarship).
