It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Curtis Gene Wear of Winchester, Illinois, born in Quincy, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Wear and Ethel Fugate Wear of Clayton; and his wife Diana Schlueter. He is survived by: his daughters, Geri Hill (Danny) of Hudson, Ginger Schroeder of Jacksonville and Gayle Strohecker (Matt) of Winchester; his grandchildren, Derek Eddy (Brittany) of Jacksonville, Brittany Vincent (Robert Bentley) of Murrayville, Jessica Vignone (Jacob) of St. Louis, Tyler Strohecker of Brighton, Kristan Schroeder (Shaun Stone) of Jacksonville, Brandon Strohecker of Winchester and Justin Schroeder of Jacksonville; his great grandchildren, Carly, Dallas Eddy of Jacksonville, Cayden, Dylan Vincent of Murrayville and Brintley Stone of Jacksonville; and his sisters, Ruth Ann Aden (Jim) of Warner Robins, GA, Elaine Cook (late Eddie) of Quincy, Linda Commons of Chicago and Jan Krutmeier (Randy) of Quincy.
