George Schardan Obituary
George Roger Schardan, 54 of Wilsonville, IL passed away Monday, August 30, 2021, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL. Born August 12, 1967, in Granite City, IL he was a son of the Late George Henry Schardan and the Late Geraldine (Urick) Giller. He worked as a Mechanic at Trust Family Auto in Godfrey, IL. He was also employed as a Truck Driver.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Veteran of Desert Storm and The Gulf War. He enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He would do anything for anyone. He is survived by 5 children, Kalee Schardan of Wood River, IL, Aiden Schardan of Wood River, IL, Brody Schardan of Wood River, IL, Chase Beckstrom of Jerseyville, IL, and Chance Stone of East Alton, IL, 6 siblings, Gary Schardan of Staunton, IL, Tammy (Everett) Bourland of Staunton, IL, Mary (James) Baker of Lampe, MO, Sonny (Susie) Schardan of Gillespie, IL, Richard (Irene) Schardan of Nederland, TX, and Nancy Machuga of Staunton, IL.
Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 son, John Andrew Schardan, 1 brother, Chip Schardan and 1 sister, Debbie Hopper. Graveside Military Services will be conducted on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton by the Staunton Military Honor Guard.
