He was predeceased by: his father William L. Brooks, Sr. of Gardner; his brother Darryl; and his sister-in-law Peggy Brooks. He is survived by: his mother Barbara of Gardner; his wife Susan; his sons, Justin Brooks (Sarah) and Jason Brooks; his brother Darren; his sister-in-law Pamela Brooks of Gardner; his stepchildren, Kevin Nelson of Colorado, Kathryn Hurley (Tony) of Joliet and Robert Nelson (Brooke) of Joliet; and his grandchildren, Ava Meyer, Brantley, Isaac Brooks, Mya Folgers, Jameson Nelson, Andrew and Ryan Hurley.
