Virginia Powers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 12, 2020, at the age of 66, Virginia Powers of Wilmington, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew DeBoard and Adele DeBoard; her parents-in-law, George and Ada Powers; her siblings, Naydene Collins, Etta Jowers, Billy DeBoard, Jim DeBoard, Joe DeBoard, Charles DeBoard, Ronnie DeBoard, Michael DeBoard and Margaret; and her brothers-in-law, Addies Powers and John Powers.
She is survived by: her husband George Powers of Braidwood; her children, Ricky Powers (Lorie) of Bourbonnais, Emanuel Powers (Jennifer) of Godley and Crystal Powers (Dustin Hinz) of Braidwood; her grandchildren, Xavier, Emmawyn Powers, Steven Hoffman, Cody Maske (Hailey) and Hope Maske; her siblings, Alice Futch of Arkansas, Wayne DeBoard (Cindy) of Mount Olive and Jeff DeBoard (Kathy) of Wilmington; and her sisters-in-law, Charlene DeBoard of Cabery, Sandy DeBoard of Wilmington, Wilma Crafton of Indiana and Stella Powers of Mexico. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to current pandemic guidelines, face masks will be required for attendees and measures of safe social distancing practices will be in order.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Virginia's memory to Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington.
