He was predeceased by: his father Vernon "Skip" Scheel; his sister Sally Scheel; his brothers-in-law, Jason Randles and David Castillo; and his great-nephew Noah.
He is survived by: his mother Alice Scheel of Wilmington; his siblings, Shane Scheel (Madonna), Sherl Randles, Scott Scheel (Kay), Sonja Castillo, Stacy Egizio (Adam) and Sloan Scheel (Jennifer); his nieces and nephews, Leya Mitchell (Jon), Cort Scheel (Kayla), Stephanie Cherney (Scott), Amy Castillo (Jeremy Wells), Emily Castillo, Dallas Bastillo (Mitch), Kelly Kirst (Noah), Madison Scheel (Brad Abderhalden), Ava Scheel and Jodi Yapp (Noel Meekma); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Chloe, Nicholas, Anthony Wells, David Shawn Castillo-Neese, Ian, Lincoln, Finn Mitchell, Ruby, Vera Scheel, Nora, Vivian Cherney and Mato Bastillo. He is also survived by his mother.
