He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Welchko; his sons, Richard Welchko III (Jaime) of Oswego, IL, David Welchko (Tiffany) of Berwyn, IL and John Welchko (Tanya) of Romeoville, IL; his stepson Clint Cogswell (Kimberly) of Elwood, IL; his grandchildren, Christopher Welchko (Alexis), Brandon, Dana Palan (David), Hannah Welchko, Paxton Welchko and Lily Welchko; and his siblings, Sharon Sanders (late Harold) of Wilmington, Don Welchko of Michigan, Wayne Welchko (Mary Ellen) of Frankfort, IL and Karen Goodell (Charles) of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Rick's memory to the Alzheimer's Association or Lightways Hospice.
