With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Kaveney of Wilmington, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Medill Kaveney and Mildred Mary Kaveney (Thimsen); and his sister Marilyn Laurich (Raymond). He is survived by: his wife Connie S. Scherer; his children, Kimberly Morris (Robert) of Wilmington and Richard J. Jr. Kaveney (Valerie) of California; his granddaughters, Melanie Cummings (Austin) of Wilmington, Grace Kaveney of California and Faith Kaveney of California; his great grandchild Wayne Richard Cummings; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Vescovi (late Robert) of Lockport and Paul Scherer (Janice) of Indiana.
