He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Guthrie and Goldie Guthrie (Hoy); his siblings, Bill Guthrie and Paulette; and his former wife Mary Guthrie.
He is survived by: his sons, Perry Guthrie, Jr. of Wilmington, Brian Angelo of Rockford and Bobby Guthrie (Heather Burgett) of Elwood; his siblings, Brenda Stacy (Tom) of Wilmington, Shirley Latham of Florida, Linda Moore of Tennessee, Tina Bergman (late Sid) of Carmi and Brian Guthrie (Jane) of McLeansboro, Illinois; and his sister-in-law Judy Guthrie of Mcleansboro. He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
