She was predeceased by: her son Lee Demere; and her sister JoAnn Bower. She is survived by: her granddaughter Jeanette Demere of Wilmington; her sister Jessie Davis of Wilmington; her nephews, Floyd Patrick of Dickson, Rayme Davis (Kelly) of Wilmington and Alan Bower (Michelle) of Charlotte, Tennessee; her niece Mary Patrick of Mattoon; and her pets, Smokey and Gambit.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Laura's memory to the Veterans Association.
