She was predeceased by: her parents, Mitchell Hanko and Loretta Hanko; and her husband Jay. She is survived by: her daughter Melaine Nelson (David) of Diamond; and her friends, Lorraine Ruffatti of Coal City, Bill and Mary Ann Lutke of New Mexico.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Joan's memory to Lightways Hospice, the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery Memorial Squad or Wilmington Fireman's Benefit Association.
