It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerome Joel Panzer of Wilmington, Illinois, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jerome Joel Panzer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph R. Panzer and Frances Panzer (Haarbauer). He is survived by: his wife Margaret "Peg" Panzer; his children, Joy Schmit (Alan) of Westchester, Illinois, Ginger Diven (Russ) of Hoffman Estates, Illinois and Christie Panzer of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Blake Rivera, Audrey Soto, Dane Soto, Colson Schmit, Sam Schmit, Kyle Diven and Margaret Schmit.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 W Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). The military honors will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Jerome's memory to Operation Smile Cleft Lip and Palate Organization.
