He was predeceased by: his parents, William Halm and Dorothy Halm (Haupt); and his wife Genevieve Halm. He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Thoms (Dennis) of Braidwood and Phillip Halm (Lucille) of Morris, Illinois; his nieces and nephews, Jeff Thoms, Keith Thoms, Phillip Halm, Christopher Halm, Jennifer Halm and Rose McGuire; and his close friends, Walt, Mike and Greg.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Baskerville Funeral Home (700 E Kahler Rd, Wilmington, IL 60481). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
