He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Parrish and Bernice Parrish (Howard); his wife Susie (Thomas); his grandson Thomas Vaughn; his great grandchild Liam Vaughn; his siblings, John Parrish and Lois Martin (Ray); and his nephews, Eric Parrish and Ryan Heitke.
He is survived by: his children, Jill Gill (Brian) of Wilmington and Ron Parrish (Tammie) of Braidwood; his grandchildren, Shane Longest (Tara), Jerrick Longest (Ivana), Hunter Gill, Bre Parrish, Alyssa Parrish, Rachel Valencia (Dave) and Mark Vaughn (Ashley); his great grandchildren, Nashtyn, Kyson, Kade, Khloë, Malena, Makiah, Tyler, Caeden, Nolan, Annistyn, Elliette, Audrey, Lucas, Bailey, Lydia, Zoei and Issac; his siblings, Richard Parrish (Jinnie), Bonnie Favero (Bill), Barb Duffy (Pat), Bev Duffy (Mike), Michael Parrish (Jan), Peggy Cole (Jimmy), Linda Mandat (Doug), Lillie Heitke (Steve) and Donna Thompson (late Tommy); and his siblings-in-law, Sandy Parrish, James Balentine (late Jane), Steve Thomas (Donna), Terry Thomas, Robert Thomas, Mary Gaddis (Fred) and Denise Thomas (late Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces, great nephew, cousins and friends.
Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Don's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
