With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Wirth in Wilmington, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Carey and Alma Carey; her husband Robert "Red" Wirth; her son William Wirth; and her siblings, Norton Carey (Alice), Vernon Carey (Carol), Willard "Bus" Carey (Shirley), Shirley Edwards (Ernie) and Lois Lausch (James).
She is survived by: her children, Robert (Mary), Mary (Dennis Evans), John, Joseph (Mary) and Carol Knoch (William); her grandchildren, Susan Anderson (Garrett), Jill Wells, Elaine Wirth, Jessica Crompton (Jeff), Leann Hurstik (Joshua) and Scott Wilson (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jaxon, Joseph, Finley, Taylor, Emma and Koen; and her sisters-in-law, Marlene Stubler (late Richard) and Waltraut Zoglauer (Werner). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Betty's memory to the St. Rose Council of Catholic Women.
