It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bette Stutts of Wilmington, Illinois, born in Coal City, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Vilt and Rose Vilt (Mlynek); her husband James Stutts; her son Kenneth; and her brother Richard Vilt.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Stewart (Charlie) of Braidwood and Nancy Dillon (Jeff) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Kyle Dillon (Kristie), Eric Dillon (Aaren), Scot Stewart, Amie Vilt (Tom Peck), Sarah Spigno (Ciro) and Tom Stutts (Allison); her great grandchildren, Graham, Kate, Taylor, Brynn, Connor and Grayson; her siblings, Dorothee Tjelle (late Everett) of Coal City and Ronald Vilt (late Janet) of Wilmington; and her sister-in-law Lorraine Vilt of Carbon Hill. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends for a COVID observant visitation at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington on Monday, April 12, 2021 from 10:00 a. m. until time of service at 12:00 p. m. Pastor Harriette Cross will officiate, and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Wilmington, where Bette will be laid to rest with her husband.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Bette's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage, 635 S. Main Street, Wilmington, IL 60481 or to the First United Methodist Church, 401 E. Kahler Road, Wilmington, IL 60481.
