He was predeceased by: his parents, Frieda Smason and Joseph Smason; his wife Bernadine Smason; his brother George Smason (June); and his daughter Janet Smason.
He is survived by: his son Steven Smason (Traci); and his grandchildren, Jordan Schroeder (Michael) and Eric Smason (Rachel). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
