It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence W. Gierut of Willow Springs, Illinois, who passed away on May 6, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Stephanie; his brothers, Eugene (Lucille) and Jerome (Ruth); and his siblings-in-law, John Pienta (Kitty) and Betty Shopin (Jack).

He is survived by: his children, Lynette Benda (Richard), Michael (Stacey), Kristin Gierut and Patrick (Becky); his grandchildren, Joe, Harry, Lou, John, Addy, Grant, Maggie, Stephanie, Bobby and Emily; his sister Marilyn Doherty (Robert); his wife Judy Pienta; and his granddaughter Judy.
