He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas E. Whittington; and his stepfather Homer Essex. He is survived by: his mother Hazel Essex; his wife Vicki Baseden; his children, Ryan (Amanda) and Katie (John); his sisters, Janetta and Katherine; his grandchildren, Avery, Rylee Whittington, Kya and Ivy Todd; and his aunt Dorothy.
