It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Avonell Salger (Willisville, Illinois), born in Percy, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2018, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert E. and Luella Bierman Hornbostel; her son Michael; her siblings, Gary Hornbostel and Betty Wilson; her siblings-in-law, Harry Salger and Anita Mayer (Lloyd); and also Willard Salger.
She is survived by: her spouse William H. Salger; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Salger of Willisville; her siblings-in-law, George Salger (May) of Steeleville, Evelyn Carstens of Marion, June Knop of Steeleville, Catherine Mayer (Maurice) of Steeleville, Loretta Baiter of Farina, IL and Donna Salger of Steeleville; and also Junior Salger (Carolyn) of Salem. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
