He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edwin and Clora Catherine Mackie (Robinson); his wife Helen E. Cheesman; his daughter Janice Johnson (Norman); and his brother Ralph Mackie (Louise).
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Mackie (Tasi) of Williamsfield and Daniel Mackie (Sherry) of Mapleton, IL; his grandchildren, Mack Johnson of Williamsfield, James Mackie (Amanda) of Alpharetta, GA, Beau Johnson (Amber) of Williamsfield, Drew Mackie of Williamsfield, Danielle Mackie of San Diego, CA, Whitney Leckrone (Lucas) of Williamsfield, Lacy Niebuhr (Cody) of Dahinda and Nate Mackie of Williamsfield; and his caregivers, Dana Tucker and Marcy Johnson. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
