He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jack L. Garland and Betty L. Garland (Greer); his wife Melody Wilson; his children, Amie Smith (Todd) of Champaign, Amanda Wittig (Keith) of Monticello and Grant Garland (Lauryn) of Champaign; his grandchildren, Sierra Rose (Kevin), Kayleigh, Mila and Eli Wittig; his great grandchild Camilla Rose of Monticello; his father-in-law Duck Wilson; his siblings, Greg Garland (Diane) of Champaign, Judy Jones (Aaron) of Philo, Doris Tate (Gary) of Vandalia and Carol Klitzing of Vandalia; and his mother-in-law Elaine Wilson of Elliott.
