He was predeceased by : his parents, B. Paul Stege and Geneva Jane Stege; and his sisters, Carolyn Frank and Paula Alred. He is survived by : his fiancée Connie Housman; his stepsons, Freddy Housman (Crystal), Billy Housman (Rebekah) and Bobby Housman of White Hall; his siblings, Pat Wallis (Paul), Derek Stege, Pam Stege of Roodhouse, David Stege (Sue) of Hillsboro, Danny Stege (David Kotowski) of Jacksonville and Jack Stege (Ann) of Springfield; his grandchildren, Candace, Austin, Shelbe, Steven, Keegan, Michael, Maci and Lexi; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Grant and Weston.

Karen Helm lit a candle

“I knew Paul in Jr. High School. Horace Mann, Tulsa. We were in several classes together through the years. I remember him being such a nice person. I was shy so I didn’t talk much. But I remember football games. He was a good player. He had been on my mind off and on since December of 22. It’s amazing how God puts someone on your heart. I wish I had found him sooner so I could have said hello. I’m glad he had such a loving family. I know Paul is in paradise. God bless all of you!”
