He was predeceased by : his sister Carolyn Crum. He is survived by : his parents, Lyndall "Ben" Cox and Genevieve Kraushaar Cox of Eldred; his daughters, Megan Hardy (Derek) of White Hall, Taylor Challans (Jim) of Carrollton, Hannah Cox (Colin Christison) of Carrollton and Jena Cox (Levi Ballard) of Roodhouse; his grandchildren, Eleanor, Harper, Owen and Hudson; his siblings, Dennis Cox (Pam) of Carrollton, Kelly Cox (Rhonda) of Carrollton, Kathy Nolan of Eldred and Bobby Cox of Eldred; and also Dallas Lawrence of Jerseyville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home - Carrollton (108 N 5th St, Carrollton, IL 62016). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
