She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. "Mike" McCaherty and Bertha L. Hubbard McCaherty; her husband Mark Lee Steckel; her daughter Kara Lynne Steckel; and her siblings, Virginia Dawdy, Lois Dawson, Robert McCaherty and Lyndell McCaherty.
She is survived by: her daughter Julie Davis (Rick) of Jerseyville; her grandchildren, Charlie Davis (Cornelius Lee), Katherine Davis (Amin Yazdi) and Mary Claire Davis (Kamil Bajan); her brother Steve McCaherty of Pittsfield; and her close friend Penny Cox of White Hall. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Airsman - Hires Funeral Home - White Hall (234 N Main St, White Hall, IL 62092). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
