He is survived by : his wife Jean Benner; his sons, Daniel Benner (Jeanette) and Bill Bickmeier (Naemi); his grandchildren, Bradlie, Joey and Anna; his great grandchild Sahvanna; and his siblings, Sharon Gardner (Chuck) and Don Bickmeier (Patsy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
