He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Lakin and Evelyn DeShaiser Lakin; his wife Marge Lakin; his daughter Kimmy Lakin; and his siblings, Royal, Raymond, Glenn, Neil, Leon, Terry, Randall Lakin, Mary Hughes, Norma Mohn and Twyla Painter.
He is survived by: his children, Sam Lakin (Elaine) of Roodhouse, Joni Sutcliffe (Don) of Hazel Park, MI, Sara Fay of Ann Arbor, Mi and Rita Barnowski (Doug) of Howell, MI; his stepchildren, David McClenning (Penny), Danny McClenning and Melissa Landreth (Jerry); and his siblings, Janet Barlow of Berdan, Joyce Clevenger of White Hall and Lyndell Lakin of Berdan. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.
