It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles E Lakin of White Hall, Illinois, born in Carrollton, Illinois, who passed away on September 6, 2021, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Lakin and Margaret Gehlhausen Lakin. He is survived by: his wife Joann Shive; his daughters, Pam Schmidt (Henry) of Carrollton and Mandy Smith of Carrollton; his grandchildren, Nicholas Schmidt (Laura), Emily Schmidt, Cathy Fraley (Eric), Lindsey Manula (Grant) and Koal Smith; his great grandchildren, Myles, Aliya, Lydia, Oliver and Ellie; and his siblings, Barb Scroggins of Carrollton, Nancy Nightengale of Carrollton, Tom Lakin of White Hall, Joe of Carrollton and Richard Lakin of Carrollton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
