He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Wettering and Vivian Wettering (Flynn); his wife Kathy; his sons, Keith, Kevin (Jackie) and Ken (Tiffany); his grandchildren, Payson, Jaelynn, Emsley, Reagan and Brayden; and his stepgrandsons, Johnny and Patrick.

In lieu of flowers, Kim had requested that donations be made to the Sweetwater Musician Foundation-Cancer at sweetrelief.org.
