It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara R. Tangney in Wheeling, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 9, 2022, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida King Lundgren and Carl F. Lundgren; her husband Frank James Tangney; and her sister Carol Lundgren Lutz. She is survived by: her children, Kate Rogers (Robert), Terri Fleming (Steve), John Tangney, Tom Tangney (Jill), Jim Tangney (April), Frank Tangney (Nancy) and Mike Tangney (Lori); and her grandchildren, Matt Fleming (Cindy), Tim Fleming (Cris), Lori Pierce (Jim), Alyssa Clarke (Brian), Kevin Tangney (Catherine), Kelsey Kusterman (Joe), Claire Fleming Sivongsay (Tommy), David Rogers, Brian Rogers, Erica Tangney, Lauren Tangney, Colette Tangney, Ian Tangney, Scott Tangney and Kelly Tangney. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and five nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family knows that Barbara would want you to say a prayer for her beloved Cubbies...there's always next season.
