She was predeceased by: her parents, Lummis E. Wallace and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Wallace (Diel); her husband Arlen Hetzer of Paul's Lutheran Church; and her siblings, Kathryn Russell, Virginia Keigley, Ruby Lowry, Norma Grissamore, Ruth Pierce, Donald Wallace and Russell Wallace.
She is survived by: her son Kent (Linda) of Wheeler, Illinois; her grandchildren, Kimberly Burnell (Clinton) of Naperville, Illinois, Mark Hetzer (Tami) of Wheeler, Illinois and Brian Hetzer of Chicago; her great grandchildren, Eric Burnell, Caleb Burnell, Alexis Hetzer and Kayden Hetzer; her sister Luella Wells of Effingham; and her brother-in-law Jack Pierce of Mattoon.
In loving memory of Vera, memorials may be made to St Paul's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Care or the Cross Foundation.
