He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Lidy and Delphine Lidy (Bierman); his granddaughter Holly Lidy; and his brother-in-law Alfie Will. He is survived by: his wife Alice Westendorf of Wheeler; his sons, David (Anita) of Mulberry Grove and Kevin (Nichole) of Wheeler; his brothers, Tom (Linda) of Wheeler, Mike of Wheeler and George (Debbie) of Wheeler; his grandchildren, Matt, Morgan, Nathan and Brooke; and his in-laws, Marilyn Cohorst (Larry), Dolores Will, Martha Deimel (Herb), Jim Westendorf (Nancy), Larry Westendorf (Rose) and Sandy Thull (Tom).
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (16987 N 200th St, Teutopolis, IL 62467). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
