He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Flinn and Grace Flinn (Barlow). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Flinn of Wheeler, Illinois.; his children, James Flinn of Wheeler, Illinois, Joseph Flinn (Angie) of Dieterich and Ann Edwards of Bourbonnais, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Lexie Lohman (Kevin), Jacob Edwards, Noah Edwards, Zachary Edwards, Faith Flinn of Gracie Edwards, J. D, Brooklyn Flinn, McKenzie Flinn and Addison Flinn; and his great grandchild Layton Lohman.

In loving memory of John, memorials may be made to the Ag in the Classroom.
