He is survived by: his children, Phyllis J. Rohlfing, Dianna R. Keefer (Mark), Rachael L. Kreke, Wayne D. Newlin, Steven L. Newlin (Carol), Bruce A. Newlin, Lora A. Cunnea (Mark) and Clara E. Koester (Greg); his son-in-law Rob Upton; his grandchildren, Suzanne Rohlfing, Erica Lyall, Jennifer Beck (Brett), Janeen Dougan (Kerry), Ben Rohlfing (Amanda), Josh Keefer (Calli), Jessica Kreke, Lucas Kreke, Patrick Newlin (Grace), Bryce Newlin, Kreig Upton (Lidiya Blair), Chris Upton (Mackenzie), Tori Cunnea (Haley), Kory Cunnea (Vanessa), Cody Cunnea (Val), Hannah Jones (Levi), Chloe Koester (Kenny Hartke) and Gabe Koester; his great grandchildren, Aidan Windsor, Pierce Lyall, Emma Beck, Tristin, Colby O'Dell, Braxton Rohlfing, Bralee Rohlfing, Brinley Rohlfing, Logan Newlin, Leia Newlin, Ava Upton, Baby Upton, Tinleigh Upton, Dean Upton, Tallia Cunnea, Taran Cunnea, Trista Cunnea and Baby Jones; and his great great grandchildren, Mila Windsor, Lyla Esker and Baby Esker.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home (307 E Center St, Dieterich, IL 62424). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
