He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Westendorf and Marie Westendorf (Drees); his siblings, John, Arthur and Bernice Walk; his brother-in-law Norbert Klingler; and his father-in-law Arthur "Jim" Bierman.
He is survived by: his granddaughter Mary Kate; his wife Lori (Bierman); his daughters, Kimberly Beckman (Brian) of Dieterich and Konnie Heiden (Cody) of Mason; his grandchildren, Mary Kate Beckman and Frank Dale Heiden; his siblings, Kenneth (Colleen) of Effingham, Leonard (Ruth) of Teutopolis, Richard of Montrose, Mary Ann Hardiek (Victor) of Dieterich, Florence Shrock (John) of Gainesville, FL and Ruth Bushue (George) of Watson; his siblings-in-law, Pete Walk of Dieterich, Charlene Westendorf of Teutopolis and Carolyn Westendorf of Dieterich; and his mother-in-law Marcella Bierman of Dieterich. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America.
