He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Sawyer; his parents, Roland Sawyer and Viola Sawyer; his parents-in-law, Joseph and Charlotte Reilly; his brother-in-law Joseph Reilly Jr.; and his siblings, Dave Sawyer and Loretta Bruce.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Kneisel (Robert) of Carol Stream and Kimberly Duttlinger (Gerald) of Wheaton; his grandchildren, Christine Tait (Sean), Melanie Kneitmix (Evan), Rebecca Duttlinger and Michael Duttlinger; his great grandchildren, Ava Tait and Roland Kneitmix; and his brother Wayne Sawyer (Nona). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
