He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sandberg and Irene Sandberg; and his siblings, Clarence, Marilyn Burns and Hazel Barrall.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sandberg of Wheaton; his daughter Marlisa Swaney (Chad); his grandchildren, Karyn Best and Carlton Best; and his sister Betty Wilderspin. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2020, from 10:00 a. m. - 11:00 a. m. at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, IL, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a. m. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, only 50 attendees are allowed at any given time.
