We are sad to announce that on January 5, 2025, at the age of 56, Richard Dirk Schilling of Wheaton, Illinois, born in Dixon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Richard Schilling and Donna Schilling of Dixon, IL; his children, Sydney Reagan Schilling and Richard Sean Schilling; his pet Buzz Lightyear; his wife Shelley; his siblings, Drew Schilling (Traci) of Byron, IL and Dyna Karas-Schilling (Gina) of Pewaukee, WI; his nieces, Natalie, Alexia, Kate and Neve; his nephew Maximus; his brother-in-law Steve Weber (Teresa Trella) of Fairbury, IL.; and also, Dennis and Linda Weber of Lakewood Ranch, FL. He is also survived by his parents, his siblings and his children.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gary United Methodist Church (224 N Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the family to be used for the children's educational funds, Gary United Methodist Church or the Werthy Foundation.
