He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann Bernat and Albert Bernat; his wife Mary Ann Bernat; and his siblings, Stanley and Carol.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Bartz (Bob) of Hanover Park, Raymond J. Bernat, Jr. (Diane) of Woodridge, Laura Perlowski (Rich) of Livonia, MI and Adrianne Prunty (Michael) of Lecanto, FL; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Josh, Ben, Therese and Eric; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Charlie and Ray.
