She was predeceased by: her parents, Tetsuo Takata and Hiroko Takata; and her siblings, Yasuhude Takata and Masayo Tsuchiya. She is survived by: her husband Jayprakash Shah; her son Rajul Shah (Molly); her grandchildren, Mia and Sydney; and her siblings, Shinichi Takata, Keizo Takata and Kazuyo Yamaguchi.
