With solemn reverence, we commemorate Matthew G. Popkes (Wheaton, Illinois), born in Rock Rapids, Iowa, whose life came to an end on March 3, 2024 at the age of 46, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, LaVerne, Lorraine Sikkema, Lammert and Jeanette Popkes; and his aunt Nelvina Popkes (Teresa Popkes).

He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Popkes and Linda Popkes of Sheldon, IA; his siblings, Aaron Popkes of Burnsville, MN, Bethany Popkes of Wynantskill, NY and Caleb Popkes of Wheaton, IL; and his nephews, Eli Popkes and Miles Popkes.
