She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Erling Grestad and Åase Grestad (Guttormsen); her spouse Reverend Walton Johnson; her sons, Kent Johnson (Illinois), Scott Johnson (Wisconsin) and Dean Johnson (Minnesota); her siblings, Øivind Grestad (Brith Unni) and Astri Grestad; her sisters-in-law, Lorrayne Johnson (Minnesota) and Mary Johnson (Alaska); and her grandchildren, Johanna and Lewis. She was also cherished by cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 circumstances a private memorial will take place in late September.
