He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Shoberg and Florence Shoberg; and his siblings, Dorothy Johnson and David Shoberg. He is survived by: his wife Caroline Shoberg; his children, Lisajoy Jenkins (Eric), Jim Shoberg (Debbie) and Ruthie Thompson (Josh); his grandchildren, Emi McDonagh (Martin), Kenzo Yoshimura (Kelli), Amber Shoberg, Julie Rejonis (Noah), Keisha, Keenan Shoberg, Jack, Kate, Dane and Gracie Thompson; his great grandchildren, Kane and Kira Yoshimura; and his sister-in-law Donna Shoberg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
