He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ida Whitcomb (Greenwood); his parents, Roger Whitcomb and Ruth Whitcomb (White); his children, Leslie MacAlister of Albany, NY, Jeffrey Whitcomb (Hillary) of Huntington Beach, CA, Thomas Whitcomb (Amy) of Lantana, TX and Sara Schroeder (Kurt) of Glen Ellyn, IL.; his siblings, Martha Montague (Richard) of Groton, VT, Alan Whitcomb (Cathy) of Granville, NY and Nancy Dowd; his brother-in-law Thomas Dowd; and his grandson Hunter Kennefick. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
