It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Thompson (Wheaton, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on January 29, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Gilbride and Agnes Gilbride; her husband Arthur J. Thompson (Art); and her brothers, Edward Gilbride, Frank Gilbride and John Gilbride.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Mulvey (Randall), Art (J. T. Garofalo), Kevin, John (Coleen), Jeanne Sernett (Stephen), Joseph, Kathy Winslow and Jennifer Thompson (Christopher); her grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Robbie Thompson, Jessica, Jack, Eric, Emily Thompson, Bailey, Patrick, Annie, Michael, Joe Sernett, Brian, Jeffrey, Blake, Cole, Tyler Winslow, Joshua, Justin and Stephanie Thompson; and her sisters, Rosemary Wolf (late Ed) and Anne Gallagher (late Jim). She is also survived by her 20 grandchildren.
Lee was a vociferous reader, often finishing more than one book a week throughout her life before Alzheimer's.
