Edward A. Groe Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward A. Groe of Wheaton, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Edward had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Edward may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Groe and Thora Groe. He is survived by: his wife Louise Larsen; and his children, Susan Beck (Robert), David Groe (Vicki), Steve Groe, Timothy Groe (Lesley) and Lynnette Pokorny (Donald). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hultgren Funeral Home (304 N Main St, Wheaton, IL 60187). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 at the Ridgewood Cemetery (9900 N Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60016).
